Depression Tells Me…

“It’s so difficult to describe depression to someone who’s never been there, because it’s not sadness.” — J.K.Rowling

Depression tells me I am worthless.

Depression tells me I am a waste of space.

Depression tells me I have no purpose on this earth.

Depression tells me my life is meaningless.

Depression tells me I would be better off not alive.

Depression tells me everyone else would be better of without me.

Depression tells me I am going mad.

Depression tells me I am a burden and to avoid everyone.

Depression tells me I will never achieve anything.

Depression tells me to doubt myself at every opportunity.

Depression tells me to stay in bed.

Depression tells me to go back to sleep.

Depression tells me I am making the wrong decision.

Depression tells me to not ask for help.

Depression tells me I will always be like this.

Depression tells me something isn’t quite right.

Depression tells me something really bad is about to happen.

Depression tells me everything is going to get worse.

Depression tells me I am weak but I am the strongest person in the room.

Depression is a lie!
